When a person starts to suffer from certain memory loss and orientation or problem solving issues, this can be rather frustrating, but if the symptoms intensify, it could due to a number of things. One of those possibilities is Alzheimer’s, but there are also many types of curable dementia that display similar symptoms.
The only way to be able to diagnose Alzheimer’s is with a series of tests that are going to help determine if this is the case. However, there are some common early signs of Alzheimer’s that can lead to a person seeking medical attention.
The most common initial Alzheimer’s symptoms include slight memory problems and forgetting the location of items you move around at home. Most people also report having trouble remembering how to get to certain places that they visit sporadically. Slight problem solving issues can also be experienced, but they are noticeable enough not to be considered normal.
Early stages of Alzheimer’s will often make a person feel slightly different but not in a way that is remarkable or easily noticed by others. Once the condition moves forward, the problem will be noticeable by other people and this means the disease has reached a higher stage of progression.
